FAIR RETIREE PAY

Military retirees have always played by the rules. And the rules entitle us to certain fair-share benefits. If Congress and the military leadership changes the rules then future retirees will still salute. But don't change the rules for those of us who already in the game.
A Pentagon adviser advocates for cutting benefits because he says many retirees go on to take high-paying defense sector jobs which is perhaps true. But the most important fact is that most of us do not.
