Comfort Home Comming

After four months, 11,680 natical miles, 12 countries, 98000 patients and 24,242 pairs of eyeglasses, the hospital ship Comfort dropped anchor in its home port of Baltimore on Oct. 19 and concluded the Navy's most recent foray as an international humanitarian service. You've truly invested in our future in the Western hemisphere, Adm. Jonathan Greenert, head of Fleet Forces Command, told crew members when the ship stopped Oct. 15 in Naval Station Norfolk, Va. What you've done is astounding, touching directly about 400,000 people and probably influencing millions and millions of others.
