Dog Parks To Open At North Carolina Bases

Marine Corps installations North Carolina are going to the dogs. Camp Lejeune and Marine Corps Air Stations New River and Cherry Point are getting their first dog parks, called Woof Spots, this month. Atlantic Marine Corps Communities, the private company that oversees base housing at the installations, opened Cherry Point's first park Oct. 19; two other parks opened at the station the same day. A grand opening was to be held at Camp Lejeune on Oct. 26, followed by the opening of New River's dog park.
